Hello.
Pistol from the manufacturer Arendt and pistol from the manufacturer Franken & Lunenschloss.Interesting similarity.Can someone explain the resemblance? Does anyone have any info? Thank you.

In spite of the resemblance, there are enough differences that I don't think they were made by the same maker, at least not at the same time. The frames, hammers, cylinders and safeties are not identical. The general type was common from c.1880 to 1910, with guns made not only in Belgium but also in England, France, Germany and Spain, with some made in the U.S.

Both of these guns are made in the general style of the Webley RIC (Royal Irish Constabulary) revolver. As Jim K and hrf say, that gun was so widely copied (in varying sizes and calibers) that it became a sort of generic product, much like the Colt Single Action Army, the S&W J and K frame revolvers, or the Colt 1911 automatic.
