One of the reasons the Lee 50th Anniv single stage kit is NICE for a rookie like me is it kinda forces you to inspect every component again and again.
That is how I found THIS case (brand new Starline brass) right before I was ready to prime. Also, here are 2 pics of my use of a Wilson Case Gage (and yes that's how THEY spell it) to confirm my reloads will indeed chamber in any SAMMI spec'd barrel.

I've used starline before, never had a mouse bite mark in any of mine though.

Those case gauges are very useful. I have a set from MidwayUSA that includes 9mm, .38/.357, .44 and .45 ACP.
I "gauge" all my semi-auto reloads before they go into the box. I also gauge any revolver round that didn't feel right when the bullet was seated. Works for me. |
