V.I.P. Member Posts: 103 (11/29/02 11:09:32 pm) Reply Anyone know anything about Llama's that look like 1911's -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Not the hairy & smelly type of Lllamas!!! I picked up a Llama .22lr pistol tonight at a local shop. It looks like a mini 1911. Does anyone know anything about these? When were they made? what model is it? I looked for some info on Yahoo, but didn't come up with too much. As far I can remember the only markings on the pistol are "Llama especial .22lr, Fabricada en Espana" I paid $125.00 , and it looks almost unfired. I can pick it up on Tuesaday, after I go to the pistol permit office, then I'll post some pics. Thanks Guys and Gals, MM454 DOH, I JUST REALIZED, THIS IS IN THE WRONG SECTION, IT ISN'T A CENTERFIRE, IT'S RIMFIRE! shold I re-post, or could a moderator move it for me?Sorry for the trouble Edited by: mauserman454 at: 11/29/02 11:51:48 pm TallTLynn *TFF Senior Staff* Posts: 5055 (11/30/02 12:15:51 am) Reply ezSupporter Re: Anyone know anything about Llama's that look like 1911's -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Only forum I could think it would go to would be the 22 forum or the 1911 forum? If you'd like I'll move it - provided somebody tells me where to. mauserman454 V.I.P. I have one myself, and yes, they are identical in every respect to a 1911-A1 45acp pistol, they are taken apart for cleaning the same, and ARE a miniture duplicate of it's big brother. $125.00 is an excellent price you paid for it, especially in the condition you described. Bob knows most all of the facts on these, I believe he had said at one time, that they date back to the 1940's but don't quote me on that, he'll give ya the detailed scoop on it. I love mine and the accuracy is superb on mine also, I do wish I could find a molded leather or mini military flap holster for it though, or perhaps an IWB for it. I believe we had a few discussions in the past on this pistol, some may be on the back pages of this forum, and the others I think are in our C&R forum back pages, so you may also want to look for those threads also. How many Mags did you get with it? Did the box or anything else come with it? Tac TFF VMBB Email Tac ibtrukn V.I.P. I would like to find another one someplace. No box either, but that is ok. I glad you guys say I got a good deal on it. I have seen these around. I have an older one that has the wooden grips instead of the plastic ones that I've seen. I need to get a firing pin for mine, since a local gunsmith broke it. They offered to replace it but have been unable to locate the part. If anyone knows where to find one, I'd much appreciate it.
By the way, mine has the box and the owners manual as well as a couple of magazines. I can be contacted at william.starnes@tridenttech.edu Thanks, William Starnes |
