Default Pickled Fish

Is a Minnesota delicacy... I prefer herring with wine in the pickling solution.
Anybody else eat pickled fish?

Pickled herring... Delicious and nutritious! Or as my daughter calls it -stinky fish.

Pickled Fish... never had it... doesn't sound too good to me. Then again I'm from the south where steak and potatoes are the norm.

Never had any....

I would like to try it though. Have you ever had hard boiled jalapeno eggs? They are really good! Real simple too, just peal them and place into a jar of jalapeno juice after the peppers have been used up from the jar and place into the fridge for a month.

Gives a new meaning to the whole "green eggs" thing.

Yum!

You can get it in the seafood section of most Wal-mart stores. Jalapeno'ed eggs, never would have thought of that.... I do like to use some of the leftover jalapeno juice when making chilli

I do Pawn, we eat a lot of fish here.

Pickled herring with onions, fantastic with a thick slice of real bread.

Yes Tranter, the onions are nice as well. Excellent with bread, crackers or solo...
