Red face Eclipse 12 gauge, double barrel, daul hammer, dual trigger

12 gauge, double barrel, daul hammer, dual trigger.
On both sides by the daul triggers it is stamped ----ECLIPSE COMPANY
Under the barrel ---- "ELG" with a tiny star inside a circle with a crown on top of the circle, also has a "12 C" inside a square, and a 'H" with a tiny star above it. "EL" with 18.1 right beside it.
Under where the barrel connects to the firing pins ---- Belgion and some serial numbers.
Any information that anyone could provide as to the origin, year and worth would be thankful. We can't find any information on the Eclipse company.

Eclipse Gun Company is a name found on belgium manufactured double barrels from around the turn of the century until about the time of WWI. the actual manufacturer was Henri Pieper. pieper made these guns marked Eclipse Gun Co. solely for export to the u.s.a. most of the large wholesale and mail order gun companies. carried them in their catalogs. in the 1907 catalog issued by iver johnson sporting goods co. of boston there are two pages that show six different Eclipse double barrel models listings.
prices range from $13.50 up to $60.00 (1907 dollars)

Bill has given you the basic information on shotguns with the name Eclipse. I'll add just a bit more. Maker Henri Pieper (later known as Anciens Establissment Pieper) was located in Leige, Belgium. The importer in the U.S. was E.C. Mecham Arms Co of St. Louis,MO.
World War One, The Great War or The War To End All Wars (choose one) stopped exports from Belgium. A word of caution. Belgian made guns of this period had damascus barrels
designed for black powder ammunition. I don't recommend shooting them.

I also have one of these, with extensive scroll work on the stock. Does anyone know an approximate value of these in poor condition?

In poor condition, 75 to 100 as a wall decoration.

Where would the seriel number be located on a double barrel, double trigger, double hammer Eclipse shotgun?

Most old Belgian shotguns don't have a serial number, and even if so, there are no records to tell you when made.
