Default Kevlar Backpack

Hello everyone.

I am asking to see if anyone owns a Kevlar backpack or messenger bag and how well you like it. I am looking for one and would rather get one based on first hand experience than sales pitches.

The reason: I watched a couple of videos recently about school self defense in the event of an active shooter. NO, there were not the worthless videos put out by the government telling to to defend yourself with office supplies... One method of self protection is to wear your backpack on your chest. Preferably have it filed with books. This may help in prolonging your life. My thought is that it's one step of many needed to protect oneself in an active shooter environment. Another brick in the wall...

Thanks~

Don't waste your time or money. Ever hear of a head or lower body shot? We didn't sit on our helmets in choppers for comfort in 'Nam. As for domestic shootings, your chances of being shot at are infinitesimally small unless you frequent bad neighborhoods, and why would you want to do that? The objective is to avoid getting shot at in the first place.

Well Gunny, I work at a place that prohibits any types of weapons and am forced to improvise for self defense and self protection. If in an active shooter scenario while at work, a backpack would afford a level of protection to my center mass that may allow me to survive while either evading or escaping or more likely attacking.
