Patent Pending The serial # is on the bottom of the trigger guard, the Pat's are on the bottom of the butt.
The barrel is approx. 3.25 inches long and the chamber is Approx. 1 1/8th inches long.
The gun is all chrome ( nickle ) with the exception of the hammer, hammer release and the trigger guard.

this would appear to be a large frame third model safety automatic hammer revolver. the third models were manufactured between 1909 and 1941. the main serial numb location is on the left side of the grip frame (under the grips). the grips must be removed to see. calibers offered in the large frame third models were 6 shot 32 S&W Long and 5 shot 38 S&W.

if the letter code prefix to the serial number is C then it was manufactured in 1911 and if the letter code prefix is H the manufacture date is 1922.

value would be 100%=$250 down to 60%=$115

Thanks Bill Yes I did find a number under the grips same as on the trigger guard but it does have the letter H stamped
Also it is a 5 bullet unit so I think it must be the 38 cal.

H49603 was manufactured in 1922, there were 13,400 of the third model large frame models manufactured that year.
