Sirs- I have a pristene Winchester Model 310, given to me unfiredby my father- I plan to mount a Bushnell Sportview 4x12 with 40 mm AO- what are you suggestions for ther rings to be use here- preferably windage adjustable- thanks in advance

Welcome to TFF Turkey Creek

You do not say anything about the see thru rings so I am guessing you do not want those. I am not familiar with that particular rifle but I think with the 40mm bell on the end you will need the medium height.

If I remember right, the Winchester 310 is a single-shot .22 bolt action. The receiver is grooved for tip-off mounts. To mount that scope, you are undoubtedly going to need 1" diameter high tip-off rings. None are adjustable for windage.

Millet makes clamp-on rings to fit the grooved receiver, and they have the ability to make windage adjustments. These are available at just about any of the better mail-order places.

Yep, had forgotten about the Millett Angle-Lok. They do have a degree of windage adjustment. Make sure you get the Angle-Lok, they offer another type of tip-off ring that is not adjustable.
