This is my frist time using this forum. So please fogive me for any mistakes. My question is I have a Hembrug 1918 carbine rifle. I have started restroing the rilfe in hopes of firing it someday. At this point I am missing the following parts a screw for the tigger guard, the rear mount for the sling and clips for ammunition. I spent sometime doing the research and learned the following about the rifle. It is stamped on the receiver with Hembrug 1918 and I understand this is the manufacturer in the Netherlands. The 1918 is the year manufactuered. I believe from what I have read that it is a 6.5 MM X 53.5 R calibre.
My hopes are to locate the parts and ammunition to enjoy shooting the gun. Also any additional history for the rifle would be great along with restoration tips. ![]()
