Hi, first of all i'm new to these forums but i'd hope to become a regular.
Second, i've got a question or two. I've been shooting since i was twelve (i'm 16 now), but after Katrina the range i went to was damaged and i haven't been shooting again until this past saturday. That being said, i went out around 10 that day, and went through a box and a half of .22 LR. After that, i've really been interested in shooting competitively. I ran a google search, but it didn't yield any helpful results. Where can i find a list of shooting competitions? I'd rahter shoot in some small local ones, but i'll settle for anything. Second, what do you think of a Glenfeild Model 20 as a competitive shooting rifle? Thanks all ![]()

Hey Alex. Welcome to TFF.
The best place to look for competitions is to find a sportsmans club or shooting club in your area. These will often host their own competitions, and they will certainly be able to lead you to others around you. If that doesn't work for you, the guys at a shooting range or even at a gun shop are almost always kept up to date on shooting events in the area. The Civilian Marksmanship Program (link) may also be of help to you. Again, we're glad you're aboard.
