Very nice, I thought I was looking at the stock room at my gun shop, at least the way it looked last year, you have a very clean and neat area, and with all those components you should be fixed well for some time,

Thanks for Sharing

Regards

I have to admit, as much as I would like to be able to say that is my personal reloading room, that is our tool room at the forensic firearm lab where I work. As long as I buy my own components I can use our equipment all I want. The tool room is attached to our 25 yard indoor range where we have a chronograph so I can check my velocities, so it's a pretty sweet deal.

Thanks for fessing up Pard, I was feeling like I was on the low end of the food chane, I feel much better now, anyway you have it nice to be able to use there area and tools, I have friends with similar arrangements and they love it, they never have to worry about being out of components, of course they have to pay for them, but it sure would save the foot work.

Thanks again for showing your loading area, even if it isn't yours.

I appreciate your honesty

Ok tEN wOLVES, I see that you have that new press in now so lets get a look at this new setup. Put us all to shame with your new ideas and enjoy those new parts. Sometimes the anticipation is better than the real thing.

RFL, you're not far off on your thinking LOL sometimes ANTICIPATION is as much a rush as actually getting what you're waiting for.
I'll post some pictures soon, I can't compete with Rembrandt or some of the others, but I sure have learned a lot from all the input I have gotten on this thread, and I know I will enjoy my new set up, and I can't to get going on it.

Thanks for your thoughts and reply RFL, it's much appreciated

Howdy Gents

Will I got the Hornady Lock & Load AP, mounted, and if I there was one word to describe this press it would be AWESOME, this is the first progressive I've owned, and it is totally user friendly, as long as you read the manual first, putting it together was no problem at all, it took me just a short while to get the feel of it and then it ran flawlessly.

Here's some pictures

Howdy Pards

Thanks for the kind words, I really do think this press and I are going to get along just great, and howlnmad, that case feeder is just down the road a piece.

When I started this thread I had no idea of how many would respond, I appreciate all that did, I was able to gather input from most all of you, and it made getting my own reloading area put together a lot easier, now that I'm retired , I have more time to think things out than I use to when I was younger and in working world, been retired two years now, and I'm enjoying the heck out of it.

Thanks to all that participated in this thread.

Lets keep it going for all that are wanting to redo or just get started in loading there own ammo.

I have too much stuff or my garage is too small?

I made a pivoting mount for the powder measure to use when loading handgun loads.

hOWDY techoca

That's a dandy bench, where did you get it, or did you make it, it looks like it would be very solid, sometimes our garages seem to fill up with stuff, but yours looks fine, as long as there is some horizontal space some where you're doing good, that out cove on your bench looks like it would be handy for loading, don't know why it just looks neat, you could sit side ways at it and still have your components handy.

Thanks for Sharing Pard

How come you guys have such neat loading benches and mine looks like a little kid's nightmare? pkcgbifaid's setup is awsome!

You guys are giving me some good ideas though. Have already bought some t-rail tracks and will install them soon.

Talking Re: What does your reloading bench look like

Thanks tEN wOLVES,
the bench was made by my Grandfather from 3 bench ends salvaged from a Continental Trailways bus station in Chattanooga, TN. I added the drawers from an old oak desk.

You are right, the 2 sides of the cove make great work stations for me and 3 my boys to work side by side. We take turns doing different stages of the process. I am thinking of buying another single stage press to go opposite of the one we have now so we can do more at one time.

Howdy Pard

I thought that bench was special, it has a great story, you're lucky to have it, every time you load you have your Granddad with you, and the fact that he got it from where he did, just adds more character to it, adding the oak drawers was a good improvement, the way that bench is configured you could probably have four press mounted on it, being that it is free standing you also have the back side to work on. that's nice that you and your boys can all share in the process, your boys are lucky to have a Dad that is willing to train them so you all can have fun enjoying our sport, I had this with my Dad, and will always be GRATEFUL to him for that.

After reading your story I'd say you have the best set up yet,
having your Boys with you. A+

tEN wOLVES
Here's mine, been using this one for awhile. The old clunker "C" press on the right end is my first press, an original Herter's Super 3 I purchased in 1966 (while working for Uncle Sam at Ft Wood MO), it still loads as well as the new green guy next to it...oh well that's progress...or is it ?

Hello Freebore

Nice reloading area, you have a lot going on there, looks like you been at this for a while now, I like the fact that every thing is clean and neat, I was taught to work clean, and there would be less chance of making mistakes, and that has worked for me over the years now, my Dad never gave me bad advice.

Thanks for sharing Freebore, you have a real comfortable looking loading area,

Regards
