I have always wanted to shoot Jap rifles but never had the chance. I see yours has had the Emperors Chrysanthemum crest removed.

These used to be fairly common, and I hardly ever see one anymore.

I remember when I was 14 years old, I bought one from a local gunsmith, along with a couple boxes of ammo for it. No laws prevented such a thing then, but my dad was a little less than please when I brought it home. He made me tie it to a fence post, tie a string to the trigger, and hide behind the barn while I pulled it to fire it the first time.
