I told the one that is not kept in a kennel to either go get it or shut up. I let the other out of the kennel and of they went. I loaded the wood furnace and was ready to go in so I hollered for the dogs, The one came back as always. It was then I smelt the unmistakeable odor, oh no. I hollered for the little dog and she finally showed up rubbing her face in the snow and did she ever stink. She bounded up the steps and sat down by the door like she was ready to go in! I grabbed her collar and led her to the kennel trying not to vomit. She must have taken full spray to the face. The male had been sprayed last year so maybe he stayed back a little. I tried that tomato juice thing with him (it dosen't work), It took about three weeks for the odor to go away. Does anyone have any suggetions on how to get skunk smell off a dog? cointoss 2 *TFF Staff* Posts: 1386 (3/8/03 12:55:52 pm) Reply | Edit | Del Re: "Dogs Cought a Skunk" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Remembered there was a solution with hydrogen peroxide and some say add a little mouth wash as well: 1 qt. – 3% hydrogen peroxide solution 1 cup – baking soda 1 teaspoon – dishwashing soap mix together and cover mutt, keep out of eyes, and discard the remainder as it will explode in any kind of container. cointoss2
