I bought some once fired 45acp brass for $5 a pound. I'm trying to figure out how much each round is at that price?
How many pieces of once fired brass would make up a pound in weight? Fired brass with primer still in the brass.... mike gn

![]() ![]() Hello GLocknut...just trying to help. The following I know...hope it helps. 2000 .45 ACP will fit in a USPS flat rate priority box, and that's about half a five gallon bucket, or a bit less 7000gr in a pound. Weigh a case. Divide 7000 by that number. .45 CCI brass with spent primer weighed 89.6gr. 7000/89.6= 78.125, so 78 pcs of brass in a pound of .45 brass. regards, 1shot ![]() Last edited by 1shot1k; 02-13-2009 at 03:24 AM.. |

For military cases I figure about 85 per pound due to the thicker case walls.

Weigh one on your powder scale, multiply, and convert to pounds or kilos.
