Ode To Obama
Ode To Obama
They hail the man with Muslim name,
They hail the bosom from which he came;
In the west they sit and happily wait
For him to revoke Proposition 8;
In the east they raise their hands to hail
The one who'll save their home from sheriff's sale;
In the south they sit and drink their beer
Happy their welfare checks are safe for another 4 years;
In the north the crowds gather in haste
As they hope for the smallest glimpse of his face.
The media taunts him as the Savior of the U.S.,
But I know the truth, it's all just B.S.!
I'm not spellbound by his glistening teeth,
Nor do I follow him like a flock of sheep;
I do not sit and happily gloat
That someone else will pay my mortgage note;
And I am not an American full of hate
Just because I won't buy his commemorative plate!
I'm just an American who can say with class
Today's paper will be used to wipe my a**.

God and the soldier we like adore,
In times of trouble, not before.
When troubles ended and all things righted,
God is forgotten and the soldier is slighted.

When asked for my race, I answer CauCajun.
Hope is not a plan, and not all change is good. The resistance is here; the resistance is now. RESIST!
These hands are neither cold nor are they dead!!
