I am trying to value a Stevens side by side 20 ga shotgun. I saw an earlier thread but did not see the gun I am buying. Mine is a Stevens Model 311 D Savage Arms, Westfield Mass. Says proof tested 20 ga 3" chamber. Excellent condition with bluing all intact, no scratches in barrel, and wood in very clean condition. The wood has triangular and diamond etchings that are in very good condition with no scratches and a nice stained finish.
Also, does anyhone know the choke sized in these guns? Modified on first shot and full on second?

There are no choke identification marks on the Stevens Model 311 Series shotguns.
The standard chokes were set by the barrel length: 12 Ga. - 24" & 26" = IC/M 12 Ga. - 28" & 30" = M/F 20 Ga. - 24" & 26" = IC/M 20 Ga. - 28" = M/F 16 Ga. - 26" = IC/M 16 Ga. - 28" = M/F .410 - 26" = F/F 20ga Stevens 311's generally trade for $350, +/- . Very helpful. Thanks for the feedback. Wanted to have gun for quail and even pheasant for short range shooting. Hope this gun is ok for that.
