I am trying to find the value of a Baretta over/under. It is 1 of 750 made. It is a 12 gauge, 28 inch barrel with three different chokes. It has gold inlaid pheasants and writing on each side. model# 686ON serial# PF1112. This gun has never been fired! It is in showroom condition. It has a matching Pheasants Forever case which contain all of the original documents.

Unless a buyer is a Pheasants Forever fan, it would have about the same value as any other discontinued Beretta O/U shotgun, model for model - in this case a Model 686 Field - about $1200-$1500, +/- .

Welcome to TFF ivegotthenutz.
Limited Editions, or Commemoratives, can sometimes be tough to value. I have some info on recent sales of Commemoratives, but not all. Take a look at the documents you have and let us know when the gun was issued. This will help, as everything I have available is listed by issue date, not alphabetical. Also, see if you have any information as to the original price. Pheasants Forever is still a viable organization as far as I know. They might have some information that you may find helpful. One last word ... don't shoot it. Commemoratives must never be fired or value is reduced to that of any similar firearm.

The value of this shotgun is only marginally more than the commercial variant that it is based on. Perhaps in 20-30 years this will not be so. There were 1,000 made for Pheasants Forever, with the appropriate embellishment. But there are likely many thousands of this particular gun made with out those embellishments. There for the value will be based on these shotguns, at this time. Other Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever guns are not valued much higher either. That said, In 2003 -2004 there were 500 Onyx Ringneck Pheasants Forever Limited editions, with gold inlayed Pheasants, marked "1 of 500" cased, with 5 choke tubes, 500 20ga., and 500 12ga., shotguns so made. Value NIB is about $1,500. Hope this helps, Kirk
