Actually, I haven't started reloading yet, but am seriously considering it.
I'm considering getting into reloading and starting with 45 ACP. My concern is that it won't really save me too much. I couldn't believe the price of some of the components. Brass is a lot higher than I expected, but I have a bunch of that. The price of bullets is really what has me concerned. So, does anyone know where I can get cheap bullets? Thanks, FatboyStew

For a combination of a decent price and actually having any in stock, this seems to be your best bet.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. Even with the cost of bullets, powder, primers and other components, it looks like I can save a good deal of money.

Don't forget the start up costs of presses, dies, etc, etc. BUT the good thing is that is just a one time thing and then you start saving a pretty good amount per box. No matter how much you spend - it is still just plain fun to reload!

Same here! I don't do any long range shooting, most of the ammo I reload is simply for plinking, and SD target shooting. I do reload some ammo for the .44 mag, in pistol and rifle that I use to hunt with, but this is still a short range round.

I reload cuz it's better. It turns out to be cheaper too.
BTW I've never saved any money reloading. I have shot a helluva lot more though. |

First you start reloading to save money, but you shoot more, so it doesn't work.
Then you start casting and reloading your own. Now you do save money!!! ![]() |

I agree with that sentiment! I cast for 9mm, 38/357, 44, 45ACP, 45/70 and it does save $$.

Bullets, Rainier, Berry, Magnus and for lead WWW.SNSCASTING.COM
All are good bullets and except for the lead are mostly plated. Mid South Shooters Supply is a good source for me.
