Clapton's 2010 Crossroads dvd, finally had it mailed in a few weeks back. Susan Tedeschi & Derek Trucks playing all that old Delaney & Bonnie. I was like in jr high when Mad Dogs & Englishmen came out, still good stuff all these years gone by.

45nut, I saw SRV with Jeff Beck in Pittsburgh on that tour before his death, only 4500 people at the show, unreal and one of the better shows I've seen in my days.
Now back as a kid in 60's, I had a vibrolux reverb & mustang and even though I stopped playing back then, you still remember the basics and can pick up any geetar and get some noise outta her. SRV stimulated me to start playing again like millions of other folks. Now nobody can attain his talent or sound; but his songs are not that difficult to pick up, even by ear; it's all enjoyable just the same. I'll kick the Bruno & rotary on and dream away downstairs, sometimes I wonder where SRV would have taken music if he hadn't died? |

Insects buzzing outside, terriers breathing, fan humming. Typical Georgia afternoon in Summer's hottest days.
No air conditioner, either.

MaximilianII, Buddy from Cummings is flyin up in 2 weeks. He asked me like 3 times how cool it was at night and I told him down to about 40 every night. I guess he really liked hearing that, now I know why.

And if I want to stay mellow some Cat stevens or good old Jannis Joplin or I will break out the Clansey Brothers...........GOOFY![]() Last edited by goofy; 07-20-2011 at 05:18 AM.. |
