I've got a Lee Enfield Mk3 here. Below are all the pertinent details:
Stamped on right side: *Royal crown* GR B.S.A. Co 1917 SHT LE III *unintelligible mark here* Left side: FTR 1953 The stock and chamber are stamped with the same serial #, but the bolt and bayonet have different #s. The rifle is in great condition for its age and operates smoothly. Any estimates?

Made by Birmingham Small Arms in 1917, Factory Thorough Repair (rebuild) in 1953.
The GR is for "Georgius Rex" (George V was king in 1917) signifying that the rifle is the property of the crown. The bayonets were serial numbered but not numbered to the rifle so a mismatch is normal. A mismatched bolt is no problem as long as headspace is correct. That is a nice rifle. I would WAG value as around $600. Jim |

I disagree with the $600 value, because of the FTR and miss-matched bolt I think it's more of a $300 value. Maybe less in the current economic market
