do you shoot with your adaptive set up?
I guess I'm fortunate not to have to use an adaptive set up with my wheel chair, but I shoot an Excalibur Exomag during archery deer season here in Michigan. I shoot 20" 2216 bolts with 5" vanes and 100 gr Spitfire mechanical heads @ about 290 fps. I'm thinking about going to carbon bolts to try and squeeze a few more fps out of my set up. If you're interested, there's a great crossbow forum at http://www.excaliburcrossbow.com/, where I post under the handle SpartaJim/ruffitt. When you get to the site, just click on the "forum" tab on the left side of the page. They're a great bunch of guys there, and it's an international community. Being the manufacturer of the Excalibur Crossbow is a Canadian enterprise there are naturally quite a few members that are Canadian. But we also have members from England, Australia, Sweden, New Zealand, and a host of other countries. Quite a few of the members there are disabled also, and I'm sure they would appreciate any input you may be able to provide regarding adaptive equipment. Regards ruffitt

ruffitt- I use the Barnett Quad 300 Package w/Scope ...335ftps w/ 20'' bolts...still expiramenting though, I had the same thought as you regarding the carbon bolts...I haven't decided yet on the spicific broad head yet except that I want a 125 grain mechanical
Got mine from Cabela's http://www.cabelas.com/ http://www.barnettcrossbows.com/ Regarding adaptive equipment the same setup I use for long guns also handles cross bows http://www.beadaptive.com/ However for peole with different needs there are many different devices that can be found at the BuckMasters web site under disabled hunters at the bottom in the Disabled Hunters links http://www.badf.org/DisabledHunters.html I myself am not overly experienced at bow hunting so I'm still learning about these things. Gabby -
The excalaibur crossbow forum I mentioned above has 257 members, with over 1000 combined years of hunting experience. Although primarily an Excalibur forum, we are open to crossbow discussion regardless of the crossbow you currently own/shoot. I am sure you would be received warmly, and am positive you could provide some valuable insight/information relating to adaptive equipment for crossbow shooters. Our site is constantlly looking for qualiaty people/information, and you "fit the bill" on both accounts. Regards ruffitt
