Default unknown pinfire revolver

i recently got this pinfire revolver. my grandfather found it in a roadside ditch after ww2.
can anybody tell me what model it is?











i tried to photograph all the markings on it.

Other than it's a relic ( because f the condition ) and made in Belgium there's not much information on these old Belgium pin fires. Value is not high and in the rough shape yours is in I would say 50 to 75 dollars as a wall hanger.

might be neat to compare ballistics to see if it was used in a crime or maybe the losee should have learned why it has a lanyard ring neat peice of history if it is functionable learn to shoot it well .

If it was found in a ditch, my guess that it is French , placed there very carefully by a retreating French soldier.

I am with RJay. An old belgium made pinfire. Rust remover, wire wool, some black paint and on the wall with it...

A belgium pinfire revolver because of the letters ELG on the cylinder
This marking was used until 1893 ....
The D with a star above is the marking of the controlor in use after 1877
So we can date the revolver between 1877 and 1893
Revolver Simple and Double Action 9 or 12 mm
The other letters are unknown for me , perhaps after cleaning you can send us other pictures .....
