I don't think it will happen in one generation.
Liberals are very patient. They are happy with incrementat changes, as long as they are in the left direction. They will all get behind a single candidate, provided he agrees with SOME of the agenda of each one of them. Conservatives are impatient. They will only support a candidate that meets ALL their criteria for leadership, and thus back several instead of one, causing them to frequently lose. I already tell my grandkids about how free we were fifty years ago. And they will tell their grandkids the same thing, I am sure, as we incrementally allow our freedoms to erode, bit by bit, over many generations. Am I being black? I don't know - But I feel I am being accurate.

Personally, I think it has already happened! This country is bankrupt! Our National debt is 3 times our National Gross Product. The folks in control of this country are not US, any longer, and hasn't been for many, many years! The politicians, both Democrats and Republicans, have played loose with our money, the truth, and the religious beliefs that this Nation was founded on for a long time now. They have lied to us, and deceived us at every opportunity, while we slept! We are now starting to awaken, but I fear it is too late! We can no longer go back, we can only go along! The Socialist party is now in control, and they are not about to give that control up! Like a child, if they can't have it, then we can't either! They have, and will, destroy any hope for a FREE NATION!
