Default Swiss K-31

I've got a chance to buy a Swiss K-31 carbine. Looking for opinions on this weapon.

Very fine rifles and accurate. At least mine makes me look like I'm a marksman.
All joking aside this is a rifle I am glad I bought.

What Nighthawk said... And with the readilly available surplus ammo (GP 11), you are ready for military match. These things shoot good. I love mine.

I own two of them, Trench, and a more accurate military rifle has never been built. They function like a, well, Swiss watch.

If you find a good one, jump on it. The nice one are gone. I'm booting myself for not getting one. Pistol is dead on in this case.

very fine shooters. the 7.5X55 cartridge is a fine deer killer and the rifle is very accurate and easy to use...

Depending on price and condition I would suggest go for it. They are great.

I just purchased a swiss K 31, beretta coranco 6.5mm and, Itallian 6.5mm. I need some magazines for all three. I had to buy all three to get the K31. The Beretta and Italian are stamped 1943 there are no markings on the K31 except a serial number.

Off the rack accuracy the M96 Swede is the best, Swiss K31 a very very close secondIMHO

Looks to me like a "Sporterized" Swiss 1911. Should be a good shooter, and check under the buttplate; sometimes the original soldier's name is still there. Not much collector's value since it was cut down.

It's most likely in the same caliber. Some of the k-31's were rebarrelled, or rechambered to .308, I never heard of a 1911 being recalibered. K-31. mags may fit. The original mag should be serialed to the gun. Do you have a source of K-31 mags?
