I find this particularly interesting, considering the source of the article. I admire the writer for speaking out so honestly. Still, this is scary...

I would attempt to highlight the key points but all of it is dead on. This guy confronts the problem in sentence after sentence. It's amazing. Read it all...

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Pops, for he first comment about Wall Street and the Marxists, I'm not sure that the translation is correct. Perhaps he meant his own stock market? I too wondered what he meant about Wall Street when I first heard the commentary on local radio.

As far as the 70 years comment, I'm sure he considers the socialist experiment in the USSR to be a testing ground for how to effectively take over the West with the same principles. I'm not sure he's wrong on that front... Our banking elite would like nothing more than to destroy American wealth for their own gain.

Insert "westerners" above because the wimpering will be coming from any country hiding in the U.S. shadow as well as any afforded U.S. favour.

I was going to start a thread, perhaps in the Gen.Disc. asking for a bit of a history lesson on Winston Churchill, and how he railed in the house as a Member of Parliament on the dangers of Hitler and to considerable derision from his contemporaries, and for how long he did so before the invasion of Poland.
Meanwhile, he contemplated actions to be taken, by an unprepared British empire.
Any volunteers?

By the way, even a drunk Russian should recognize a move towards total state control of it's Citizens, in fact they should be defacto experts.

GH, the lesson I have is to educate everyone you can about the issues. Do so in such a way that you don't sound like you're a loon but just tell the truth. Read up on current events pieces and you'll be loaded for bear with information. 2010 could be a very interesting election year.

Folks, the systematic raping and pillaging of the American middle class has not only came at the hands of the commiecrats, it has came on the safe watch, so we thought, of the Repulicans. All politicians do a good cop, bad cop routine and put on a good enough show to make us believe it. A baby faced, big smiling country boy salesman put the pants on a lot of his insurance clients in my hometown years ago. He would have made a good honest salesman and could have been honest is his own right and made a good living, but for whatever reason, he was what he really was, and that is what we have in DC today, and on Wall Street, In AIG, In Union leaders, in the Corporate offices of big companies, the heads of pension trusts, anyone who controls our money. They are all in collusion and covering for one another and have become a group of elitests who rob the working folks. The guise of socialism is just an excuse to futher smokescreen the real intent of robbery and to point fingers without any intent of getting the real wrong doers, just putting on a show. A few who fall from grace are served up for public display and punishment. Quite simply, we live in a country of powerful crooks every direction you look, and I'm sure they all would like to disarm us. Even the war on drugs has become such a symbiotic relationship between enforcement and the drug kingpins that neither could survive without the other, just a smokescreen to allow it to continue. If I sound paranoid, you can bet your sweet bippy I am. Not near enough folks have gone to jail over the abuses that have happened over the past 8-9 years, but a lot of folks have become weathy with ill gotten gain. The only saving words I have, is that God does not bless ill gotten gain and their house of cards is about to come down.

My point is what do we do to save this country. I know what is happening and I don't like it. How do we make things right?

Well, the only legal option that will help guarantee that you continue to enjoy the few remaining liberties is to vote the Socialists out. You're in PA, right? Talk to some of the die hard Labor Union folks. Ask them how they feel about the runaway spending and how it might impact them or their kids in the future. Find the sportsmen and ask them how they feel about a future where Liberals (not necessarily always Democrats: Ref. Arlen Specter) might severely limit their option to purchase and own a firearm. If they're Catholic, ask them if they really want abortion to continue? Chances are, they're also heavily influenced by the Labor Union if they're Catholic and still pulling that D lever. Point to the successful booming of the Automotive industry in the Southeastern United States. We're non-union and we're not working in sweat shops. If their fear is that they won't have a job if they don't support the Union candidate, then ask them how that's working out for the thousands of UAW workers at Chrysler and GM who are being fired as their plants close.

The Northeastern US is a very unique political area. I honestly believe the people share the same core Conservative values as the Red states but they vote out of fear of losing their jobs. I believe the Labor Unions are DEFINITELY a problem but the broader problem may be in how you're required to declare your party in most of these states. A personal identity forms with a certain party and folks feel it hard to break out of that box. I'd like to see the whole of the US adopt a system similar to what we have in SC. You don't register for party affiliation. You go to the primary you'd like to vote in but you're not *limited* to a party. You can vote in either primary. You folks in PA got screwed when Arlen Specter switched parties.

Honestly, voter education is the only thing that can fix this problem... Obama showed us that even the younger generation can be made interested in politics if approached correctly. We should learn from him and utilize electronic media wherever possible to reach out to all generations. The FACTS are on our side. If you notice, when liberals debate, they like to call names, demean, and rake their opposition over the coals without ever really pointing to what is wrong and citing proof. They're emotional machines. We have fact on our side. It's time to use it!
