I have a Connecticut Valley Arms Single Shot 20 Gauge made in Italy. I will try to upload pictures soon to this thread but the engravings are as follows:
No year can be found on the gun as well no related guns can be found by myself on other sites selling guns. This gun also has the same star images on the wood hand stock below the barrel with 9 stars running horizontally on each side of the stock. The wood hand and butt stock have minor but noticeable stress in a couple places. The blue on the barrel has sustained quite a bit of what appears to be brush scrapes. The gun has been well kept with no rust what so ever as it has been well cleaned and maintained as a family hand me down. The gun appears to me to have had a newer than original clear coat placed over the wooden portion of the gun. Gun contains a safety and breaks down all the way from barrel to butt stock. I have been interested for a long time the approximate value of the gun but am just now getting around to it and appreciate anyone's input. I will get pictures up here soon as I can. If I have forgotten any important details I offer my apologies and will be active in answering questions if further info is needed. Thanks for any help. Sincerely, Jason

Hi Jason, and welcome to TFF,
Connecticut Valley Arms Co., of Norcross Georgia, manufactured black powder guns in the form of rifles, pistols and shotguns. They included flint lock, percussion and modern "in-line" variations. In May of 1999, the assets of CVA were purchased by Blackpowder Products who continues to manufacture CVA guns, though a number of their product lines have been dropped. I believe this includes shotguns. You can call the CVA Customer Service Department directly at (770) 449-4687. Or, if you prefer, you can fax questions or comments to (770) 242-8546. You may also e-mail: info@CVA.com with general questions or concerns. CVA products can still be found in most sporting good stores including the big boxes such as Cabela's and Bass Pro. I am aware of a .410 model called the "Brittany 11," but aside from that I thought all of their shotguns were 12 gauge. Obviously, I was mistaken. Upload a photo or two and lets take a look. A 20 gauge with engraving may have some value, though most of the shotguns they manufactured rarely sell for more than $300.00

I assumed the retail value of the gun would be low but my having the same knowledge of never knowing of CVA to make the 20 gauge I figured it may grab some value in the rarity category. I will get some pics up soon and thanks for your input. I am going to call them Tuesday and see if I can find out the year it was manufactured.

I keep meaning to upload some pics.. Perhaps later tonight. I am going to call cva to try and get a production date. They ofcourse will not offer value information but I am going to try and figure out the amount produced and when.
