New to forum, new to MK's. I bought two MKIII Hunters, a 6 7/8 for myself and a 5 1/2 for my son. We love them, they are dead sexy and very accurate.

Mine is a MK 1. Dead accurate as I shot a bobcat at 30 yds between the eyes this winter!

What, no MK III? What are the lengths and styles that differentiate the models? That's a true Ruger fan TJ

MKIII SS Hunter w/fluted bull x2. Bought my son the 5 1/2", I got the 6 7/8". Great pistols, also just got the Triple K Packer holsters for them which are a perfect match.

I recently bought a clean used MK-II with 4" barrel but can't pick it up until July 6th.

Back in 1958 I had an original Ruger with the red eagles on the grips but had to leave it in California when I got out of the USAF and returned to NY state but didn't have the stupid NY pistol permit.

Glad I live in Florida now.

I have a MKII SS 5.5, 1989, with volquartsen grips and accurizing kit. Plus a MKII 6 7/8 SS slabside GC. Looking for another slab side MKII because they are the best of the lot.

MkII 22/45, 5-1/2" bull barrel. Only mod is addition of a red dot sight. Can flick fleas off a fly's posterior at 25 yards. What I love best about it, though, is all the cuss words I can dredge up from my youth when reassembling the sucker.

My S&W is an N frame.
I have a Mk. II comp-target model.
I had a first year red eagle grip model that was stolen by a cousin who then sold it.

Love it. Volquartson throughout internally and a Leupold scope make it really fun and accurate too.

Bought my first MKI in 1975 because it was like the one that I used on the pistol team in college. Still got it along with a few others. This is the last MKIII that I bought....

Fired a MkIII with 5.5" bull barrell today. NICE! I actually bested my own results with the pistol I brought, first time touching the gun.

Fired mine for the first time yesterday. What a treat. Can't be beat, not for the money, it's just so neat. TJ
