My symapthies to BG Walsh. All general officer promotions require ratification by Senate vote. What'll happen to the poor guy should be ever show up on the MG list? Imagine the prospect of having a career ended for being too polite?

In the first place...the terms "sir" and "maam" are quite appropriate forms of address to members of congress. No one even in an etiquette class could ask for anything more. Boxers ignorance of that fact makes her demand to be referred to as senator even more absurd.

If she had said that to me I wouldn't have given her the courtesy of the word "maam". I'm not allowed to post here how I would refer to this arrogant piece of dirt.
