Ok, thanks. Let me know. I know mine doesn't, there is no place on the other side of bolt where the handle would go.

LRS2.308: to change from right hand bolt to left you need to buy a left-handed bolt. I have both. I'm a righty like smash, but I can cycle with my lefty bolt( jack rounds in with left hand ,never taking finger off trigger or loosing stock-weld or sight picture.) and get shots off pretty quickly.

Hey guys. I am brand new to the forum, but thank goodness for you guys. I cannot seem to find very much or the LRS2 at all on the web. My buddy just purchased one new for 2899 and if I like it more then my HS precison HTR, I will be buying one also.

I was wondering if some of the guys that posted pictures of groups would mind posting them again. All of the pictures posted on page 1 are not viewable. All I see is a little white box with a red x where a picture should be.

Kalyan1 hasn't stopped by in a little over a year...Not saying he wont see your request, but not likely.

We have another LRS owner or two on board who may post up some targets for you though.

I'm like you in the fact that I'd really like to have one someday and will just lust over them untill then.

Well, welcome to the forums, good to have ya.

Hey guys been away from shootin for a while just got the ol Blaser out. I am trying to work up a load. Last week took some differnt reloads out and tried them. All of my O.A.L numbers are taken off of the olgive using the Stoney Pt gage:
In the last outing the rifle seemed to like the bullet .020" off the lands
Siera 168 gn HPBT, OAL 2.217" necks turned to .012", Redding comp neck bushing .333" over 45.4 gn Varget for

Muz. Vel.: Ave.:2639.2 AD:3.9 SD:5.8 95%:6.7 H:2649 L:2632 ES:17. This grouped the best with a OAL ranging from 2.240 to 2.217

The next outing will try to get the above load to a MV of 2700 fps using a neck bushing .334 (std) and 0.2 gn increments of Varget starting at 45.4 gn

Blaser came in today. We will be firing it for the very first time tomarrow morning. It will be in direct competition with an HS precision HTR that has some very impressive history at the range. I am hoping the Blaser really shows up the HS precision. Myself and a buddy will be shooting both rifles with fed gold match 168 gr and some 168 gr black hills match. Ill post the results tomarrow. If it shoots as good as you all say, I think Ill buy one instead of that AI AWP I was planning on.

Here are two 3 round groups at 100 yrds with the HS precision HTR .308. Both were shot by myself consecutively. I wish I had put all 6 in one hole, but after 3 rounds another friend showed up to the range so I started over so he would believe me.

Well, It look like the Blaser has won hands down. Unfortunately I could not bethere, but I let the owener of the new blaser shoot the HS. Since it was his first time shooting both the HS and his new Blaser, I figured it was a pretty even test. The only ammo used today was FEd gold match 168 gr. Please Note that I can shoot groups much better then as shown in this picture, but It would not be a fair test for me to shoot the HS as I am well adjusted to it. Neither one of us has ver fired the Blaser before. I will also say that the funtionality of the Blaser blows the HS away. The extreme smoothness of the bolt cycling was beyond words. It can be cycled with one finger. It was also nice to be able to remove the barrel with the scope attached to it. The Blaser is also lighter and the ergonomics are more user friendly. As for the HS precision, it did weigh a bit more, and had a more overall rock solid feel to it, but the bolt locks into the action so securely that a follow up shot required to shooter to really crank the bolt nob. Well enough talk, here are the groups.

The pictures are listed in order of the Blaser groups first and the HS precision second.

That's some sweet gear. I've got an older LRS that shoots quite well. Always under 1MOA if I do my part. What kind of glass do you have on that?

Both have leupold Mark 4 LRT scopes. the one on the HS is a 4-14x50 and the one on the blaser is the 8-24x50.

We both competed in a match this weekend. It was 20 shots in 20 mins in increments of 5 at 600, 5 at 800, 5 at 900 and 5 at 1000. Both of us scored 30 put of 200. It was 40 degress with about a 13 mph wind. Many of the shooters scored a 0 so we were both happy. I can definitely say that follow up shots with the Blaser are very fast. The blasers owner was constantly telling him to slow down as I was in a hurry just to finish in 20 mins. I think I may end up purchaing a blaser as well. It shoots every bit as good as some of the custom rifles out there adn has some features that are only available with the blaser. You guys should have seen everyone when it was our tunr to shoot this weekend. everyone flocked to the Blaser like it was Elvis or somthing.

I orded it in .308, however I plan on getting the .338 setup as well. I'm currently thinking of putting an IOR 6-24X50 Illum (MP8 retical) on the beast. I'm pretty anxious to get it, but there is a back log of orders on the Tactical2 so I will not get delivery til late September.

MarineD316, The factory 168 fed gold match is good to go with the 308 LRS2, with reloads in my LRS2 243 barrel the Berger VLD 95g molly seated to lands is outstanding, IM finding it hard to get Berger VLD 155 and 175 mollys for my 308 barrel, But they should be exellent in the 308 seated to lands, regards paul.

Thx Paul,
I'll definately try 'em out. I plan on mainly hand loading just cause I'm a stickler for the details, but I will put your advise to good use none the less. I can use all of the input I can get!!! Knowledge is good but experience is better. I thank you for your knowledge from experience.

Our 308's must be on the same boat. It should have arrived from Germany on 09/07. I already have the 338 and it is an awesome weapon.

What range do you use.

Guys.. I dont know if anyone is reading this but we got to keep this thread alive. Its the only one I can find for Blaser LRS feedback on the internet. For those of you like me. It is very important to be be able to review hands on experience with weapon system like this. It is useful to toher that may be interested in joining our ranks as Blaser owners.

I invite you all to join up on snipershide.com as well so we can start this thread on that board also.

I think we should have a thread devoted to Blaser pics, groups, etc.

They certainly do it with AI AWs, Sako TRGS, M40s, etc etc etc
