My buddy just got this rifle and he can't fire 3 rounds without a jam. He bought a new magazine from blackdog I think it was and still no good.
Someone told him you have to plug the gas chamber with hard rubber to keep the extracted rounds from clogging it up and you have to adjust the extractor screw on the bottom of the bolt. Does anyone here have one of these and is his just a fluke that its messed up like this or do they all need work? This is an Ak style rifle and is Romanian. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks JUNK

I had one for a few years and it never missed a beat. I have never heard of plugging the gas chamber, I could think that would cause it NOT to fire properly. If he has tried different mags, then it has to be the gun and it could be a problem in the gas system?

There are different types of jams caused by lots of different things. Without seeing the jam or at least reading a good description of it all we can do for you is provide general suggestions.
Switching mags is a good general suggestion, another is switching brands of ammo. |

He has tried different ammo. and mags. the problem with the gas chamber is the open area where a gas tube should be. When a casing ejects it is going into the open area of the gas chamber and getting caught in there. After 2 or 3 rounds the area is full of spent casings and won't let another feed into the chamber. Someone told him of you fill this area then the spent casing can't get stuck in there and has nowhere to go except out the ejection port. I'm thinking it mat be something with the extractor itself.
