I was inherited a Walther model PP, one magazine and holster , given to my father in 1950. I have not yet fired the weapon, he had went to the range in April 09, functioned well.
Information on slide. Waffenfabrik Walther. ZellaMehlis (thur) Walther's Patent Cal. 7.65 m/m Mod PP Serial # both frame and slide 194008 P (believe manufactured August 1940) Markings: N with eagle above on barrel x2 (believe N is proof mark for nitro (smokeless powder) I have included a couple of pictures. Was wondering what the value might be to a antique or Walther firearms collector.

U R correct Sir on the manufacture date. Your pistol was one of last C/N pistols before the E/N , wartime production started. It is a common PP & is commercial as the holster is also. Make sure that both mags have the Walther banner only on them. The 7.65 marked mags did not happen until 1941 on E/N weapons.
You have a very nice rig there , but with the bluing loss, the complete rig would sell for 650. I have a large collection of these fine pistols, several in the sought after 22cal. Keep it cleaned & oiled and shoot it some. It would make a family member very happy if it were handed down and not sold. Hope this helps ya some? Kindest Regards Danny ![]() |
