Exclamation Bushmaster Firearms Requests Your Help!

In Preventing Junk Lawsuits Against the Firearms Industry

The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, S.659, is coming up for US Senate approval very soon and your support is urgently needed to help get it passed. The US House of Representatives passed it yesterday, but in the Senate we need you to contact your Senators to urge them to support this bill. There are several Democratic Senators, such as Senator Schumer (D-NY), that are threatening to kill the bill by filibuster, but this can be avoided by getting 60 votes. Currently there are 52 solidly supporting the bill.

These frivolous lawsuits against gun manufacturers for political purposes are a disgrace and abuse of our legal system. What some of these anti-gun groups have not been able to do through the voting booth, through lobbying, and through the media, they are now trying to accomplish by driving law-abiding gun manufacturers out of business through unfounded lawsuits and blackmail tactics.

The White House issued a statement strongly supporting this bill, saying it would "help prevent abuse of the legal system and help curb the growing problem of frivolous lawsuits."

Please call, email or write both your Senators today. Urge them to support the "common sense" legislation of The Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, S.659

Call or email your Senators!

I'd suggest that you contact your Senator by Snail Mail.

One letter carries more weight than a dozen Emails.

Maybe so, warpig. But the title of Mayor carries more weight than the average Joe Citizen.

I would write my senators about this, but they're already co-sponsors of this bill.

I see that Both Washington "split Tail" Senators, Murray and Cantwell, have not signed on to this. Doesnt surprise me as Feinstein, Clinton, et cetera are not either. But, will fire off a letter to voice our opinion.

Not around here sniper

Heck I am probably the most hated man in town followed by the other council members. It is fun though

Daschles office was even blocking my emails for awhile. Once I even got a personel letter from him about our disagreements.

Our other Senator who is a Democrat is signed up ok on this one already and usually is.

I used to like Richard Lugar but as he gets more senile he starts sounding more and more like a liberal Democrud.

And Evan "Son of Birch" Bayh is a lost cause, he still won't answer me about Miguel Estrada, and I call his office routinely once a week about that.

Sure is nice to see "Sen. Elizabeth Dole" on the right side of this one, the lady seems to have learned quickly which side her butter is breaded on.

But this ex-Western New Yorker still has the bile come half-way up my throat whenever I read "Sen. Hillary Clinton" on ANY list.

(If somebody ever says "The Honorable..." in front of her name you better roll down the window or get the hell out of the bathroom quick!)
