Obama Birth Certificate Lost to Fire in 1972?

Responding to Hawaiian health officials, who confirmed that the President's 'long-form' birth certificate has not been released to the public, President Barack Obama stated this morning that it is impossible for the papers to be released at all.

Through a spokesperson working for the Administration, the President now claims that his original birth certificate was lost in a fire in 1972. At the time, Mr. Obama was living with his grandparents in Honolulu.

"There was a small house fire in which the document was lost," the spokesperson said. "That is why the President has been unable to comply with requests to release it. While the President understands the concerns of citizens, he hopes that this will put the matter to rest."

When did a 'small house fire' destroy all the government required documents?
Was the house in the hospital?
Was it in the county court house?

That still doesn't answer the birth certificate problem. If you try to apply for a social security card, drivers license, or numerous other official licences and permits, what would that lame excuse get you?

Further, what passport did he use for his travels in the middle east. Hint - it was not a US passport.

I'll tell you the real reason Obama hasn't released a certified copy of his birth certificate:

'Cause the "birther" controversy works for him. I guaran-dam-tee you they have polling data on it. You play this birth certificate game and you are playing HIS game. You are doing exactly what he wants which is marginalizing yourself. Don't play his game.

There are plenty of things you can oppose Obama on that are real and can make an impact, the birth certificate is not one of them.

I got my sons over the phone and UPS'd (next day air cuz he needed it).
Paid w/a credit card. Got the notary stamp and everything. Ordered Wednesday and had it Thursday.

If I can do it, Shirly the president can.
