I want to temporarily remove the front sight on my Israeli Mauser (made in Beligum). Is it soldered on? And how do I remove it if it is?

They are usually just silversoldered on. A bit of heat should loosen it. swede

Thank you. Will a propane Torch work or will I need a oxy/acetelene torch?
