I bought my pistol new maybe 5-years ago. I don't remember. In any event. I am considering selling it, but don't know what it is really worth. I don't want to wholesale it. I need to maximize the value, but don't know where to start. I have maybe shot 6-boxes of ammo through it. I have the original box, manual, and 2-clips. I have never sold a gun and don't know what is the best method of doing so. Is it illegal to sell it online, obviously channeling it through a gun dealer? Attached are 4-photos. I look forward to some feedback. Thank you in advance.

Your pistol is not a Highpower. A Highpower is a single action pistol.
It is as the box states a Browning BDM Practical. The 2008 Standard Catalog of Firearms list the value as the following: New in box -$560 Exc.- $450 Very Good - $350 http://crime.about.com/od/gunlawsbys...gunlaws_md.htm From the above link. "Purchase Maryland does not regulate the sale of rifles or shotguns and no permit is required to purchase a rifle or shotgun. Maryland does regulate the sale, transfer, rent and possession of regulated firearms, which consist of handguns and assault weapons. A person who is not a regulated firearms dealer may not sell, rent, transfer, or purchase any regulated firearm without going through a regulated firearms dealer. Alternatively, the prospective seller/transferor and prospective buyer/transferee may complete the transaction through a designated law enforcement agency" ---------------------- Sorry to rain on your parade. ![]() Welcome to the forum. ![]() Art

![]() As a matter of fact, we, Louisiana, have a tax free weekend on gun sales weekend after next. Guns aren't evil down here. ![]() Plus I told him that his Highpower was not a Highpower. As a Highpower owner I'd be bummed to learn of that info. ![]() It does look like he can do a transaction through a Law Enforcement Department, which is good, but I would bet that there is a fee (read tax) involved. It would be interesting to hear from a Maryland LEO on this. Art
