Default Cleaning of a 1911 online?....

Does anyone out there have a good video on youtube.com of the correct way to disassemble and clean a 1911? I trust you guys, but not some dude with a screwdriver pryin' away at it, so to speak. If you know of one, please provide the address on the web. Also, I've heard of "field stripping." What is this? Say I go bang 150 rounds one day, please inform me of the correct, and effective, way to strip it down and clean it.

Thanks a bud, folks.

Look at this one first to get an idea of how the weapon works - it helps to get the BIG picture first: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4P4XJTKzKEU

Most of the ones I have looked at on You TUbe are fairly well done.

I would add that when you are ready to disassemble, have a good non marring mat or soft bench surface and a small parts pan or bin. Careful for that recoil spring

As far as field stripping goes, here's a pretty decent "how-to". Much easier to link than type all night !
