Well I did it after hours spent reading ,putting up with Glocknut and asking questions I purchased my first 1911.I looked and touched then i bought Canadian Para Ordnance 1911 GI expert have to wait 8 weeks as they are on back order.

I have done a close inspection of the GI Expert and it will be worth the wait. But eight weeks is a long time.

Congratulations on the Para. I also looked at those while going crazy with questions. I think you will like the gun. 8 weeks is a long time but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. Those 8 weeks will fly, Will give you plenty of time getting together some ammo.

Congrats on your new purchase. As others stated it is unfortunate that you have to wait the 8 weeks. But in the 9th week it will feel like a dream. What kind of holster are you getting?

Well Doc I don't need one because the SOB's up here won't let us law abiding people carry.Would love to carry not all the time but every now and then.

look at it this way... you have 8 weeks to stock pile ammo. Believe me, when you get something in your hand that shoots and feels as good as a well balanced 1911, ammo goes very fast

Im on my 3rd 1911 and currently building my 4th. I have been a 1911er for about 2 yrs and have burned prolly 12 or 13 thousand rounds by myself... mostly handloads...
