Default Just wondering

I have a Remington Model 31 shotgun. It is 12 ga with a full bore. It has a serial number (?) 61158. What I was wondering about was the anchor stamped on the barrel. Does anyone know if this marking signifies anything?

its a proofing mark that Remington used during inspection
