German made, and I believe it is a Parlor gun. made for indoor shooting games. The cartridge used was a low power CB type. No powder, it used the force of the primer to propel the bullet or ball. Early 1900's it was all the rage to have shooting games in the taverns and even in the Parlor of your home They are not designed to take a regular .22 shell. The pressure would be too high. The action is call a Flaubert { or is it Floubert } type.. Value, not really very high, maybe a 100 to 125 to someone who wants one for a collection. Hope that helps.

RJay called it. The crown over the U is a German proof mark. The gun is a Flobert design. Chambered in either 22 BB Cap or 6mm Flobert (same round, just called two different names). Still available, if you'd like to shoot your gun, but ain't nowheres near being cheap.

26 dollars a hundred.

RJay and Alpo, thank you so much for the information.
I'll have to check on the UK firearms regulation to see if I can purchase the ammunition you have suggested.
Again, many thanks for you time and expertise.
