Ok, we have the movie thread.
What are some of your favorite old time shows? Combat, Rat Patrol, and 12 O'Clock High were must sees for me. And as odd as it seems, Divorce Court and Dark Shadows after school. A Vampire soap opera, what could be better? ![]()

Long ago, it was Combat and Star Trek ( original version).
I quit watching that liberal, garbage spewing media. |

I really liked Xena Warrior Princess. I think that I have seen every episode. I also like Buffy the Vampire Slayer and have seen all of those episodes also.
Star Trek Voyager and Enterprise were pretty good too. |

There is nothing wrong w/ your television set....
do not attempt to adjust the picture.... we are controlling transmission.... we will control the horizontal.... we will control the vertical.... we can change the focus from a soft blur.... or sharpen it to crystal clairity.... For the next hour, sit quietly & we will control all that you see & hear.... you are about to participate in a great adventure.... you are about to experience the awe & mystery which reaches from the inner mind to.... THE OUTER LIMITS!! I also loved: Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea & Star Trek (1st generation of course!! )SR ![]()

Star Trek (Original and TNG), Adam-12, All in the Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Bob Newhart Show (not Newhart), The Dick VanDyke Show, Outer Limits (Original), Twilight Zone (Original), Emergency!, The Cosby Show
Moving on to something a bit more recent..... South Park, Scrubs.....Jeez, that's about it. Most TV these days is just awful.

Bonanza was always up to its best with episodes revolving around Hoss and Little Joe. Like the time they took up a rabbit raising business and then the time Hoss rode down to Mexico to find Joe in Jail but they let him out during the day because it was to hot and he kicked back with the senoritas waiting on him hand and foot.

What; no Andy Griffith fans? I guess that is my all time favorite. I find myself still watching the same shows (on cable) as when I was a kid. I would like to see Rat Patrol again. Still watch Bonanza and Gunsmoke. Would love to see the old Maverick TV shows again. Funny how some of the old shows are on all the time; yet others never.

I am much younger than most of you, so do not have the same assortment. However, I had a very weird childhood, I watched very little cartoons, my favorite was staying at my grandparents' because they would let me stay up late, which meant I could watch I Dream of Genie, Gilligan's Island, The Munsters, etc.
My childhood hero was none other than McGyver, which led to quite a lot of mischief as a child (including a "booby trap" that left one of my ear lobes dangling by a thread- no I did not get stuck in my own trap, I fell off the deck while constructing it For another trap attempt I tried to cut through the power line to the house, I only got halfway so ended up cutting through the phone lines to hook them up to squirt guns. My dad was not happy, but apparently the target acquisition worked because he did not get shot by the squirt guns ). I also looked forward to watching Silk Stockings everyday after school, until my mom saw an episode .These days I really enjoy several shows. I tend to prefer to watch them on DVD because it shaves a lot of time off, and I watch many of them with my family (and we watch them like movies, a few hours here, a few hours there, instead of this one hour every Monday bull ). These include...* 24 (this is our number one) * The Tudors (a close second) * Flash Forward (my mom and I have begun watching this and enjoy it) * Lost (my dad and I watch this, I cannot say I really enjoy the show, but the suspense and cliff hangers keep me watching )* V - I just started watching this (as it has only been on for a week heh) and am enjoying it * The Office - we all watch this, I love it but do not worry about catching every episode * South Park, of course, do not miss an episode, ever... my mom will watch it with me frequently ![]()

Adventures of a rogue Moon crew. Who knew that the moon could travel through intersteller space so fast and they could have so many adventures??

One of the highlights of the last five years was watching my elderly, memory-impaired father laugh at Gilligan's Island. It was so great! He was always working when that show was on and had not seen it back in the '70s.

To be honest, I liked the old movies, especially war and westerns. Wayne, Stewart, heroes and exploits of bravery and honor.

You got that right....there are the precious few of us in the military and LEO that pracitice these virtues on a daily basis, but it is a rare thing otherwise.
Jeez. I am starting to sound like my Dad. More and more and more as time goes by.... ![]() ![]()
