You know, that animated map is pretty good info. It shows a definite trend over the last 10-15 years. I hope to one day see it all blue.

Default Right to Carry

A comparison of the two maps, below the 2003 map, will show considerable progress, MOST of which has taken place SINCE the demise of the Clinton-Gore team.....

It shows what can be done when WE don't stand by letting someone else do it, but take part and let our collective voices be heard....

This is the current NRA-ILA map on the same subject:

It shows only six (6) absolutely "No Carry," including Missouri. If they should agree, only five (5) will remain. However, the remaining nine (9) showing "limited" rights might as well be considered as synonymous with "No Carry!" I personally am acquainted with four of them and it is nearly impossible in each to get one that is supposedly "allowed."

Progress IS being made but we still need the Supremes to put it on the line that we do have the 2nd Amendment and that it does grant INDIVIDUAL rights that CANNOT be abridged. If I were sitting, it would happen so far it would make your head spin!

Just read where the Governor has vowed to VETO any bill that gives ANY RIGHT to carry TO ANYONE!

Kinda makes you a little angry and paranoid when ONE PERSON vows to thwart the will of the people and the legislature, doesn't it.....

Talk about a miscarriage of justice.

Our only hope is if the Missouri legislature can muster enough votes to overturn the idiot Governor's (a Democrat, of course!) veto.

There are enough votes to override. Both in the House and Senate. One-term-Bob is in kind of a quandry. He has to understand that this issue was defeated during the general vote by the KC area and StL. Now there are enough democrats that were and still are in favor for the bill he must realize that if he vetos, he is going to definately piss off the Republicans. But he will also annoy many Democrats that he can't afford to lose their support. He is supposed to read and make his decision by next week at the latest.

If he vetos the measure, the veto override vote takes place in Sept. I think. We will truely find out how dumb OTBob is real soon.
