Pics in Massachusetts like that would probably result in your arrest and your child taken into protective custody.

Oh sorry, I'll take these pictures off then. I didn't think anything was wrong with my son holding a unloaded gun. Again, I'm very sorry.

It is a RIA 1911 .45acp. The wood grips are smooth, I don't like them. My hands sweat and these grips are not right for me. What do you guys and gals think I should get? What kind of grips, I mean?

I wouldn't worry about the pics, but if you would rather take them off, just edit the post and then you can delete them.

click edit
click go advanced
click on the triangle to the right of the paperclip in the top row of the toolbar
click on Manage attachments
click on remove in the popup window

Nice looking RIA, let's see some more pics when you replace the grips.

Thanks so much cycloneman. I started handling guns at about 4 years old. My Dad taught me at that age. I just want to teach my son the right way to handle and shoot any gun. I don't see anything wrong with this, maybe other people feel I'm in the wrong. Those Bows are mine. My son can't pull them back...yet. I'm going to get him a smaller bow(I see some at wal-mart).

I think the post was really just being sarcastic. I don't think it was to be taken serious.

Your wife did very good indeed, YAY WIFE!! As for the pictures, Its kind of like the photos EVERYONE from my era has of a bare bottomed kid with them peeking from under a blanket. Try that now and it is kiddie porn.

Why do people have to be so anal when it comes to other peoples lives? Possibly it started when a family no longer consisted of a working husband and a stay at home mom like back in the day when a family was a family!

This world has become such a jealous place of keeping up with the Jones' that people got so overextended they have to look for things to gripe about.

I myself see nothing wrong with your pictures, But you know someone somewhere is saying look at that kid playing with a gun! If that is wrong I too am guilty as I had my nephew shooting at the age of 6. By the way nice looking son you have. He will grow up to be a good looking young man that will know respect for a gun instead of just stuffing one in his waste band for kicks.

Cycloneman said, "teach your boy well. I see the archery stuff in the backgroun and take him fishing. Instill in him what you need to now before all the evil sucks him in. Enjoy your time with him." I whole heartedly agree. WTG Cycloneman!!!

Nice RIA! I've only had experience with the commander length and have found these to be be reliable and very fun firearms. Those are the same grips I would have chosen

Nice Christmas present. Also, if firearms are in the house with kids, then kids should be taught firearm safety, for everyones protection. Nothing wrong with that, and everything right with that process.
