It appears all the new cats here are introducing themselves so I'll follow suit. I like the vibe already just reading around this place.
I'm Chris. When I'm not in the desert chasing bad guys I'm back in Germany chasing Frauen und Bier. I've been living overseas for a few years now. It's a good gig being a young single dude roaming around Europe.
I'm a southern boy at heart and a huge S&W fan.
Looking forward to learning a lot from the seasoned folk around here.

I have a 23 that I use for carry when I'm back in the US.
The only part that sucks about living overseas is rarely getting to go home and shoot my OWN guns.
That and a lack of freedom... but you know...

You'd be surprised about the lack of freedom part. Sure I can't carry over here but there's no reason where I live. We do our best (guys in my community) to blend with the locals. I studied German for years so getting around isn't too bad. I love it when Germans have to ask if I'm American.
However, it would be nice to carry when traveling about in Prague, parts of Poland, and other eastern block cities.
Welcome and thanks for your service. I was stationed in germany for 2 years. I was under the influence 95% of the time so I wasted what could have been a great time in my life. That was long ago. I was there when Elvis died.
I own a bunch of scary guns. You want em? Come and take em.....

"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms. . . disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. . . Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson
One of my uncles was stationed in Duselldorf (sp) from 70-72 and he loved it.
History is much like an endless waltz. The three beats of war, peace, and revolution continue on forever.
Inter Arma Enim Silent Leges - Cicero
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. - Samuel Adams
