Didn't see a new members area or maybe I missed it. I'm Mike from Wisconsin. I love to shoot guns and own a Rock Island Armory 1911 .45.

This is my 1911 ---

This is my first firearm. I always liked the 1911 design. I decided right from the get-go that I wanted something all stripped-down, Plain-Jane. I was looking at a Springfield Mil-Spec but decided against it because this was $100 less and the Mil-Spec did something to the used casings that I didn't want. But it seems like a nice pistol. From what I have heard they are pretty decent. Hope to get out and shoot it soon.

Welcome to the forum Mike. The RIA is a good entry level 1911. Had a Mil-Spec for years and loved it. Recently gave it to my son and upgraded to a Springer Loaded. Be forewarned though, 1911-ism will get ya, if you ain't careful.
