If it is why on your chest why is a chest holster better than a side holster?

Wearing your weapon on your chest gives you extra points on the tacti-cool mall ninja scale. It also allows for a quicker draw when using the Praying Mantis Draw concept.
On a serious note, I guess there could be an advantage if you have your rifle to your shoulder and you need to make a quick transition to your pistol. It would be a more natural & much shorter move to shift your hand a few inches across your chest than to reach down to your hip or thigh. Art

Having a chest rig, instead of an underarm rig, would come in handy if wearing a pack, or if in an aircraft seat that is armored (since the armor goes up on both sides of you, it makes it difficult to move your arm out to the side, to draw). It woiuld be nice, intight quarters, for the same reason - not having to move your arm to the side. So I can see it being useful or the military.
Non-military usage - looks kewl as hell, and really tuff, yo. ![]()
