Sorry about the multiple threads. Please disregard my other threads. I was trying to edit and accidentally posted new threads. But this is the one I wanted to post.
Got out to the range with my RIA 1911. Went with my buddy from work who has a Colt M1991A1 3 1/2" .45. Here's a few pics from that. Also went to a gun show in Jefferson for awhile and bought some semi-wadcutters. My buddy recommended them and says they are very accurate. Anyone ever used SWCs before? I hear I will have to clean my gun well after shooting them because they are unjacketed. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If you look at one of my older targets, which are posted below, you can see that I am getting better. I tried aiming my gun a little below center for a few mags, and a little above for a few mags, then dead on. Seemed like lining up my sights slightly above center gave me the best accuracy. I was shooting with Remington 230-gr FMJ .45ACP for this range trip. I hope to get out and try out the SWC's soon. Here's an older target for comparison. ![]()

I load and shoot 200gr LSWC in all my 1911's. They are a great shooting bullet and it is no problem cleaning your barrel. All you need is medium bronze wool from most any hardware store.
Here is a recent link about the same topic. http://www.thefirearmsforum.com/show...ht=bronze+wool techoca
