Default I own an Enfield made by......

What kind do you have? And this is the FIRST time I made a poll where you can vote MORE than once, so if you have others, count them ALL....

Mine are of course, the Ishapore 1964 No.1 MKIII SMLE 2A .308 and my eagerly anticipated 1944 No.4 MKI* Long Branch.....although I ONCE had a nice BSA 1916 SMLE MkIII*....

(And you know, I FINALLY figured out why SOME selections are in ITALICS.... ) I KNOW, I KNOW, DUH! I'm not SLOW, just POLISH!

I have the Isaphore No. 1 MKIII SMLE in .308. I need to try out some mil-surplus ammo since have only used reduced loads of SR 4759 and 180 gr cast bullets. With this load it seems that the mimumum sight setting is about 250 yds. I sure like this rifle and it is sure fun at long range plinking.

Mine was made by Savage here in the U.S. so it doesn't stop working at 4:00 in the afternoon each day for tea time.

Let's see if my memory is any good. I have 2? Ishapores; one .303 and one .308. I have several older Lake Enfield? pieces. I have the Savage, Lithgow and Long Branch. I bought the darned things for about $50 each and determined that sitting on them was the best thing to do. Only let one go; sold my brother a T-model with scope for cheap. I don't think I have owned a sniper rifle that he doesn't own.

You know, I should be getting my Long Branch tomorrow or Tuesday, if it LOOKS good as a sporter, maybe I just LEAVE it that way??? I kinda like the looks of yours, too, Southern....

And get ANOTHER to convert back? Hhhmmmm....

Maybe I convert it to STOCK for DISPLAY, and save the sporter stock to convert BACK for hunting, and have a Polish-Canadian "Convertible...."

Ah yes, but I see your PRIMARY piece on the table, right???

Is that a 91/30 or an M38? I'm thinking it must be a short Mosin, because it looks like your scope may have gotten knocked over with the muzzle blast...

Don't encourage them there Yankees to visit too much, Library, unless they have lots of money, spend it, and then leave.

Oh Library, Mosins are my FIRST love, I get this warm tingly whenever I'm CLOSE to them...so it's no use hiding them!

How does your M38 shoot? I had to go through about six of them until I found one that would shoot a respectable group...unlike just about ANY M44, but I prefer my M38 too....

My two Mosins shoot fine. They put purty holes in paper targets at 100 yards. More than that I am not picky, just fun to shoot. As for sidearms, my wife and I have an agreement that if one is dead, absolutely against some thing then that is it..her one thing is pistols so hence none in the house. I really just like military type rifles, including my AK-47 too.
I get to shoot plenty of pistols when I bring my mil surplus rifles to the range. When they ogle mine I ask to shoot their pistols!

NothernCal. have you tried the 1980s South African .308 Milsurp AIM sells? It works pretty well in my 2A, I paid $26/140 round "battlepack", but I think they are now $28. All mine are headstamped 1981, I need to get more before it dries up....

I also picked up 5 boxes of British 1979 dated L2 A2 7.62 NATO ball at a show recently for $20, but haven't fired any yet due to having to replace the extractor spring, and I haven't made it back to the range yet...
