Thought I would introduce myself before asking my first technical question. NonPCnraRN stands for a Non Politically Correct Registered Nurse (ret) who is a NRA Lifer. My single action semiautos include a SA Milspec, Star PD, Colt 380 Gov't, and a Colt 380 Mustang. I also have 5 Ruger Single Actions in 45 Colt and one in 44 mag. As you can see I prefer to create big holes. I couldn't pass on the 380s as they were miniature 1911s. Other weapons include leverguns, bolt guns, shotguns, 2 .40 cal Glocks and 3 EBRs. Any nurse in CA who owns EBRs has to be non politically correct .

You shoot cowboy? California + Ruger Single Action 45s + Lever guns + shotguns seems to, maybe, = cowboy shooter?

You'll understand later.

I am male. I worked ortho/neuro, utilization management, wound nurse, and 10 of my 20+ years as an oncology nurse specializing in pain control and hospice. I am a member of SASS and my alias is Payne Keller. I am building up my gear to start Cowboy Action Shooting. In fact I was in the gun shop to buy a Model 92 in 45 Colt when this lonely stainless steel 1911 Springfield Milspec called to me, "Buy me, buy me!" Come to think of it, I hear that a lot in gun shops.

Well, I have Rhuematoid Arthritis and I know a little about pain. And my Dad died from Lung and Bone Cancer and I know a little about that. We kept him at my house for 6 months and Hospice was a God send.

Merry Christmas and God BLess you.
