I have a 452 special I tried to put a scope on last night, the rings I have
are B-square high rings, 11mm dovetail base, they measure .750 from the reciever base to the bottom of the scope base itself. the scope is a centerpoint 4-16x40mm AO scope I decided to try on a recomendation. With the bases on the scope sits on the rear sight base (I removed the rear sight) and needs about 1/8th of an inch to clear the sight base. I have thought about "shimming" the scope to raise it slightly but I dont know what this would do to the accuracey of the rifle, it dosn't sound like a good idea to me. I was told about Barska rings and there "very high" rings and found them on a site called optics planet. net, they are inexpensive and do look higher but I have heard good and bad about Barska products, and nothing about there scope rings. There site hsd no measurements on the ringe and did not say if they were 3/8ths or 11mm. does anyone know about these rings? and if not any ideas as to what I could use would be welcome. thanks in advance Doug, DA357 ![]()
