Default My New Self Given Present

I just purchased a Colt XSE Stainless Gov't model. Took it to the indoor range this afternoon just to make sure that it fires okay.

Here is my initial group at 10 yards using my reload SWC. To say I am pleased is an understatement. I think that my Kimber has just found a new friend.

Just beautiful. How much are those XSE's going for?

Where I normally purchase my guns, 50 miles north of here they have it at
$ 950. This one I purchased FTF from a young man here for $ 750. He claimed that it had less than 500 rounds through it, and I believe him. It was absolutely pristine. For the $ 750, he also threw in two extra Chip McCormick (sp?) mags, still NIB plus a NIB spring tune up kit. The icer was a box of 50 WWB jacketed HP's.

The young man is somewhat liquidating his collection as his priorities in life are changing. He is getting married and they are looking to purchase their first house.

Nothing like a mortgage to realign one's stars.

Very nice Tim! I have the same model and love it. Colt is making some very fine firearms these days and for the money there isn't any better 1911 model pistol made. Congratulations.
